Just click here to send us your ad When you write a description of your property, be realistic. Estate Agents brochures may give you an idea of what you’re aiming at. Draft an initial description then work through it and refine it until you’re happy with the end product. Click on the Specimen Advert link on the top of this page for an idea of what you're aiming for. Don't forget to include your contact details so that potential purchasers/tenants can contact you directly. You may already have an idea of what your home is worth and what you want the asking price to be. If not look, around your neighbourhood for similar properties which are for sale. You can find out the prices being asked by contacting the agents. Estate agents windows might also give you an indication of what to ask. If you're open to a possible house swap or part exchange then please indicate so in your advert. Above all be realistic and be prepared to negotiate if you want to make the sale. You could ask for a valuation but be careful that it won’t cost you anything or place you under any obligation! When using pictures, make sure they do justice to your property ( gif or jpg format only please ). Remember the old saying - a picture is worth a thousand words. If you haven’t got a digital camera, ask around your friends and work colleagues. Phone cameras provide good pictures if configured properly.
